We focus on improving the adult and juvenile criminal justice system and to deflect people from it through prevention and treatment consistent with accountability and justice. In order to accomplish this, we advocate for the establishment of a comprehensive, civil system of care to provide assessments and wrap-around services.
What We Support:
We are working to deflect individuals from the justice system by increasing reliance on civil or social entities;
- Increase coordination among county, municipalities and Criminal Justice;
- Establish a revolving bail system that will minimize the incarceration of people too poor to pay bail; and
- Determine cost-effectiveness of restoration of suspended driver’s licenses due to unrelated issues or events-i.e., unpaid child support.
